The episode descriptions for the final three episodes of AMC's The Walking Dead Season 7 have been revealed. Things will get worse before they get better.
While their rising up is inspiring and uplifting compared to the first half of the season, it sounds like things are going to have to get worse for our favorite group of survivors before they start to get better, that is, judging from the recently-released descriptions for the final three episodes of Season 7.
Check them out below, courtesy of Spoiler TV:
Episode 7.14 – “The Other Side”: The Saviors visit the Hilltop unexpectedly, surprising everyone, with plans of taking more than supplies.
Episode 7.15 – “Something They Need”: A group of Alexandrians embarks on a journey; one member of the group must make a heartbreaking decision.
Episode 7.16 – “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life”: The stakes continue to grow higher as paths cross; the group enacts an intricate plan.
In addition, The Walking Dead executive producer/showrunner Scott M. Gimple spoke to TV Line about what we can expect from the Season 7 finale:
“[Season 6’s finale] was the noose tightening and things getting darker and darker. This season’s finale has darkness and light, real horrific moments, betrayal, and real moments of beauty, redemption, love and friendship. It’s sort of the panoply of human and Walking Dead experience. There are losses. As the stakes get higher and higher… things start to get more intense and heartbreaking, and yet everyone has to sort of band together and keep going.”
If you know anything about the comics, the series seems to be building to the “All Out War” storyline, which will most likely be the basis for Season 8. I’d expect to see some heavy losses on both sides of this altercation, and from Gimple’s description, it sounds like the losses could start as early as the Season 7 finale.
The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC. The Season 7 finale will air April 2nd.
