‘The Walking Dead’: Steven Yeun Willing To Return As Glenn Rhee

Former 'The Walking Dead' star Steven Yeun expresses a willingness to return as Glenn Rhee under the right circumstances.

The seventh season of The Walking Dead opened with the heartbreaking and gruesome deaths of Glenn Rhee and Abraham Ford. Beaten to death with a baseball bat by Negan, leader of the Saviors, many fans were left devastated and disturbed by the horrific scene that marked the end of actor Steven Yeun’s six season run as the fan-favorite Glenn. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, Yeun recently revealed that he would be willing to make a return appearance as Glenn under the right circumstances.

Yeun explained:

“I will leave it open to what makes sense. I wouldn’t want anybody to force anything but if it makes sense, then I am totally down.”

Of course, the only possible way Glenn could return on the series would be either through flashback scenes or hallucinations, which would not be an unprecedented move for the show. The seventh season finale included flashback scenes that featured Michael Cudlitz as Abraham and the ninth episode of season five featured appearances by several dearly departed characters in the form of hallucinations experienced by Tyrese as he succumbed to a zombie bite.

The Walking Dead season eight will begin in October 2017 on AMC.
