Warner Bros. Shuts Down Donald Trump Video With Batman Music

Warner Bros. has taken down a recent video President Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday, which used Hans Zimmer’s The Dark Knight Rises score.

President Donald Trump is no stranger to the Batman franchise. Two of his buildings were used in The Dark Knight Trilogy. Donald Trump also notoriously endorsed Ben Affleck’s casting as the iconic character. Batman has now caused trouble for Donald Trump’s life in the form of music. Donald Trump tweeted out a video for his 2020 re-election bid, set to Hans Zimmer’s score from The Dark Knight Rises on Tuesday. Buzzfeed News reports Warner Bros. has now filed a copyright infringement complaint over the use of the “Why Do We Fall” track:

“The use of Warner Bros.’ score from The Dark Knight Rises in the campaign video was unauthorized. We are working through the appropriate legal channels to have it removed.”

The tweet was no longer available on Tuesday night with the message, “in response to a report by the copyright owner.”

What are your thought’s on the decision made from Warner Bros? What is your favorite Batman score? Feel free to share in the comments!

It has been eight years since Batman (Christian Bale), in collusion with Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman), vanished into the night. Assuming responsibility for the death of Harvey Dent, Batman sacrificed everything for what he and Gordon hoped would be the greater good. However, the arrival of a cunning cat burglar (Anne Hathaway) and a merciless terrorist named Bane (Tom Hardy) force Batman out of exile and into a battle he may not be able to win.

Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman.

The Dark Knight Trilogy is available on digital, DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD.
