Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Names Michael Shaffer SVP Of Business Development

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced that Michael Shaffer has been named Senior Vice President of Business Development at the company.

Reporting to company president David Haddad, Michael Shaffer will be responsible for overseeing the strategy and execution of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s licensing, business development, and first-party partnerships. As Senior Vice President, Shaffer will also work to drive the negotiation and execution of deals alongside the executive team.

Michael Shaffer made the following statement:

“I am very excited to join the incredible team at Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and return to the games industry at this pivotal time of historic growth and transformative new platforms. Being a part of the talented group at WBIE also provides an amazing opportunity to work on world-renowned properties, such as DC Comics, Mortal Kombat, LEGO and many more.”

Shaffer was previously Vice President of Business Development at Dropbox, Inc. before serving as an advisor to Google. He also has previous experience in the video industry, having made a career at Electronic Arts.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is the video game production arm of WB and is responsible for handling the publishing, developing, licensing and distribution of entertainment content for platforms, including console, handheld, mobile and PC-based gaming for both internal and third party game titles.
