Yesterday, former Warner Bros. Entertainment Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara stepped down following allegations of sexual impropriety against him. Now, an interim team of executives has been named to handle day-to-day operations until a replacement is for Tsujihara is named. The team will consist of Warner Bros. motion pictures group chairman Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. television group president and CCO Peter Roth, and Warner Bros. Entertainment CFO Kim Williams.
WarnerMedia CEO John Stankey will be on the Warner lot in Burbank on Tuesday to hold meetings with staff, though a studio-wide town hall has yet to be scheduled by the studio. Stankey is reportedly hard at work composing a list of potential successors to Kevin Tsujihara. According to Variety, 20th Century Fox Film chairman Stacey Snider (who will lose her job upon the completion of the Disney-Fox deal) and former Disney COO Tom Stagg are included on the list. The outlet also notes WarnerMedia is a seeking a replacement who “has old and new media chops and some experience running large institutions.”
The joint decision for Kevin Tsujihara to resign came during an investigation into his past relationship with actress Charlotte Kirk, which began after The Hollywood Reporter published texts between the two that indicated she sought Tsujihara’s help landing acting roles while they were in a sexual relationship together. Both Kevin Tsujihara and Charlotte Kirk have denied any wrongdoing, though Tsujihara stated he deeply regrets mistakes he made in his life in a memo released to staff on March 8.

Shazam! hits theaters on April 5, 2019. The film stars Asher Angel, Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou. Here’s the official synopsis:
“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Asher Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Zachary Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
