Digital Spy reports the studio made a small change in order earn a lower rating in the UK. The British Board of Film Classification originally rated the film as 15 due to a “bloody detail.” With Warner Bros. aiming for the UK’s equivalent of a PG-13 rating, the studio edited out the bloody detail with the film now rated 12A. The new UK rating means the film is suitable for audiences 12 years and older.
Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.
