We know at least one person will survive Negan’s bat in the Season 7 premiere of The Walking Dead, and it’s exactly who you’d expect: Rick. The fan-favourite character isn’t in the best shape, and is certainly not in the position to be making threats, but that doesn’t stop him.
The footage doesn’t make it obvious who meets their fate, and chances are it’ll remain unknown until the show returns on October 23rd. There’s plenty of fan theories online – and more are shared every day – but actors and showrunners alike have been very tight-lipped when it comes to spoilers. This is understandable as the Season 7 premiere stands a chance of breaking viewing records, and they’ll obviously not want to ruin those chances.
AMC will air a two-hour special look back at the previous seasons in The Walking Dead: Journey So Far. This special airs from 9 to 11pm on October 16th, and it’ll feature special interviews with members of the cast and crew in a bid to make fans even more excited.
The Walking Dead returns on Sunday, October 23 at 9/8c on AMC. AMC’s Talking Dead will be returning for an extended episode, featuring the entire cast that was in the grueling line-up in front of Negan.
