Damon Lindelof’s Watchmen series will bet in the same world as Alan Moore’s acclaimed comic book story and it appears several characters will be inspired by the events and figures from the original tale. Now, HBO has released new promotional photos that reveal a group of characters wearing Rorschach masks, suggesting they have been inspired by the original character to act as vigilantes.
Check out the post below to see the new photo of the Rorschach gang in HBO’s Watchmen.
In Alan Moore’s Watchmen comic, Rorschach was a former member of the Crimebusters who continued his against crimefighting career even after superheroes were outlawed.
Set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, WATCHMEN embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel while attempting to break new ground of its own.
Watchmen stars Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, and Dylan Schombing. The series is produced for HBO by White Rabbit in association with Warner Bros. Television, based on characters from DC.
Damon Lindelof also serves as an executive producer alongside Nicole Kassell, Tom Spezialy, Stephen Williams, and Joseph Iberti. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will compose the score for the show.
Watchmen debuts in fall 2019 on HBO.
