HBO’s ‘Watchmen’ Series Premiere Debuts To Impressive Ratings

HBO’s new television series Watchmen had its series premiere last night, and its debut reaped impressive ratings for the premium cable network.

HBO’s Watchmen premiere, titled “It’s Summer and We’re Running Out of Ice” earned over 800,000 viewers in its first official broadcast on the network. When combined with HBO’s digital streaming platforms, Watchmen’s debut is the network’s strongest series premiere since Westworld in 2016.

The premiere telecast of Watchmen received a 21% ratings boost above HBO’s acclaimed series Succession’s season 2 finale last week. This also makes Watchmen premium cable’s most-watched series premiere telecast of 2019.
