‘Westworld’ Season 3 Casts Vincent Cassel As Its New Big Bad

The Hollywood Reporter has revealed Vincent Cassel (Irreversible) has joined the cast of HBO’s hit series Westworld.

According to the trade, Cassel is set to take on the role of the new big bad in the third season which is set to air on the premium cabler in 2020. Executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy released a statement expressing their excitement to have Cassel board the series.:

“We’re incredibly excited to work with Vincent Cassel. We’ve been longtime fans of his and are thrilled for him to join the Westworld team.”

Further details on Cassel’s role remain under wraps. Cassel will make his stateside series regular debut in the third season of Westworld. He joins newcomers Aaron Paul and Lena Waithe.

Westworld stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, Fares Fares, Luke Hemsworth, Louis Herthum, Simon Quarterman, Talulah Riley, Rodrigo Santoro, Gustaf Skarsgård, Ed Harris, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Clifton Collins Jr., Angela Sarafyan, Katja Herbers, Shannon Woodward, Zahn McClarnon, and Anthony Hopkins as Robert Ford.

Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, explore a world in which every human appetite can be indulged without consequence.

Westworld Season 3 is set to debut in 2020.
