Will Smith Shares His Take On The Finished Cut Of Disney’s ‘Aladdin’ Remake

Will Smith hyped fans for Disney’s Aladdin remake after watching the finished cut of the Guy Ritchie-directed film.

Will Smith’s Genie in the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin has been a very controversial topic since before his official blue look was even revealed. The second trailer for Aladdin dropped earlier this week and it seems that fans are beginning to warm up to director Guy Ritchie’s take on the classic animated film.

Aladdin recently screened its finished cut for members of the cast and crew including Will Smith, who immediately took to Instagram afterward to share his excitement for the adaptation. Check out Will Smith’s energetic, spoiler-free review of the Disney remake in the post below.

Directed by Guy Ritchie from a script he co-wrote with John August, the film stars Will Smith as the Genie, Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Jasmine, Marwan Kenzari as Jafar, Navid Negahban as the Sultan, Nasim Pedrad as Dalia, Billy Magnussen as Prince Anders, and Numan Acar as Hakim.

“Aladdin” is the exciting tale of the charming street rat Aladdin, the courageous and self-determined Princess Jasmine and the Genie who may be the key to their future.

The film is currently slated to hit theaters May 24, 2019.
