‘The Wolverine’ Sequel Adds ‘Narcos’ Boyd Holbrook As Main Villain

With production gearing up to kick off very shortly on the currently untiled sequel to The Wolverine, director James Mangold has begun assembling his cast together for the upcoming third and final installment in the franchise. Deadline is reporting that Boyd Holbrook (Narcos) has joined the cast as the film’s main villain. While the outlet didn’t have a name for Holbrook’s character, the 34 year old actor will play someone describes as a “relentless, calculating and intense head of Security for a global enterprise who is set against Jackman’s clawed Wolverine/Logan hero.”

The third entry in The Wolverine franchise will kick off production next month under the code name “Juarez”. Other than Holbrook, the only other cast members currently known at the moment are star Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart. With that production date quickly approaching, stay tuned for more additions to start popping up over the next few weeks. Sound off with your thoughts on the addition of Holbrook and who you think he might be playing in the comments section below.
