Wolverine Actor Hugh Jackman Responds To Deadpool Star Ryan Reynolds Calling Him A Fraud

Former Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman responded to being called a fraud by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.

During an interview on Australia’s Today Show, Ryan Reynolds took a shot at Hugh Jackman by jokingly referring to the former Wolverine actor as an “evil person.” “Truth hurts sometimes. It makes your eyes water. Hugh Jackman’s a fraud,” the Deadpool star said of the Wolverine actor.

Now, Hugh Jackman has taken to this official Twitter account to share a photo in response to Ryan Reynolds’ latest comment. In the photo, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine can be seen extended one claw to appear as though he’s raising his middle finger to Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool’s cinematic future remains unclear for the time being following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. However, Ryan Reynolds recently teased a meeting with Marvel Studios, suggesting both parties are discussing potential plans for future Deadpool films.

Meanwhile, the role of Wolverine is expected to be recast following Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as the X-Men hero in Logan. Marvel Studios confirmed plans to include mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during its 2019 San Diego Comic-Con panel. However, the studio is reportedly in no rush to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, meaning it will likely be some time before we learn who will replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
