‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Promo Images See Gal Gadot In Flight

The stunning new images honor the sequel's 80s setting.

A batch of colorful new promo images from Wonder Woman 1984 show Gal Gadot in flight as Diana Prince.

There’s been a recent slew of new images from Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984 tiding fans over until the DC film finally arrives in October later this year, and a new batch of colourful designs show the Amazonian warrior in flight. Most recently, an image from a pack of playing cards revealed a new look at Kristen Wiig’s Cheetah in her animal form. While another shot from Empire Magazine revealed a young Diana Prince taking part in the Amazon Olympics.

The new images surfaced on Twitter showing Diana against a purple and orange glow with a neon version of the hero’s symbol behind her, honoring the 80s setting for the sequel. Another image also shows Gal Gadot’s hero stood in her Golden Eagle Armor with the sun behind her. The top right image seems to suggest that the new promo images come from a Wonder Woman 1984 calendar. Take a look below.

Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord. Wonder Woman was last seen in Zack Snyder’s DC superhero team-up movie Justice League.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
