New Photo From Gal Gadot May Confirm Key Set Piece In ‘Wonder Woman 1984’

A recent photo shared by Gal Gadot may have confirmed a key set piece in Wonder Woman 1984.

As Wonder Woman 1984 began filming in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., it was rumored that Diana’s time in the United States capital would include a visit to the White House. Those rumors were fueled by a recent photograph Gal Gadot shared on her official Instagram to recount the time children from The Light of Hope Foundation visited the set of the Wonder Woman sequel.

Instagram user “vanzekin018” noted the set featured in Gal Gadot’s photo closely resembles the floor and decor of the real White House, potentially confirming Wonder Woman will visit the official residence and workplace of the President of the United States. You can check out the post below to compare photos of the real White House to the Wonder Woman 1984 set!

Full details on the Wonder Woman 1984 plot are currently unknown, though the film will follow the titular hero as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union in the 1980s and encounters a formidable new adversary named Cheetah.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wigg, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.

The film will be produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Jenkins, Stephen Jones, and Gadot. Rebecca Roven Oakley, Richard Suckle, Wesley Coller, Johns, and Walter Hamada serve as executive producers.

The DCEU continues forward with Shazam! which is now playing, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
