New ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Photo Shows Gal Gadot Fighting Two Goons

A new Wonder Woman 1984 photo features Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince in the midst of fighting two goons.

Three years after her appearances in Wonder Woman and Justice League, Gal Gadot will reprise her iconic role as Diana Prince in the long-awaited sequel to the DC heroine’s first live-action standalone film. Now, Total Film has released a new photo that features Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince easily handling two goons in a shopping mall.

During an interview with the outlet, Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins discussed how the stunt work was part of why the experience of filming the sequel was different from the original film. As Patty Jenkins explained, the decision to do all of the stunts with real wires and performers as opposed to CG turned out to be very time consuming:

“[It was] a much harder movie to shoot… I was more ambitious with it. So doing all the stunts for real on wires and things, it’s extremely complicated and time-consuming. And everybody involved knows that you could say, ‘Oh, forget it, we’ll just do it in CG.’ So it was difficult in a new way [compared to the first film].”

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson, and Robin Wright.
