Latest ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Set Footage Features Diana & Steve On The Move

Wonder Woman 1984 is still over a year away from release but fans can get a glimpse at the highly-anticipated DC sequel in a new set video featuring Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) and Steve Trevor (Chris Pine).

Although the DC films in the last few years have proven to be very polarizing amongst moviegoers, one DC film that audiences seemed to agree was special and different from the others was 2017’s Wonder Woman. When the DC origin film hit theaters last year, it was a juggernaut at the box office that earned praise from audiences and critics alike.

That’s why that the only DC sequel currently slated for release next year is Wonder Woman 1984. It may not be the only DC film, with Shazam! and Joker both slated to hit theaters prior to its release in November, but it’s the only one that really has to live up to the film it follows.

Considering director Patty Jenkins is returning to helm Wonder Woman 1984, it’s safe to say that the film is in good hands. The latest footage from the film’s set features Diana and Steve holding hands while they hastily make their way up crowded street. Check out the video below.

The footage simply shows the duo walking up the street but the pace they’re moving seems to suggest that they may be on the run and trying to blend in. Whatever it is they’re doing, fans still have more than a year left to wait to see the truth. No trailer has been released for Wonder Woman 1984 just yet but lucky fans who were able to attend the Warner Bros. Hall-H panel at San Diego Comic-Con in July were shown a clip from the film that featured a brief sequence with the titular hero in a mall.

With no team-up movie currently announced, it seems that the DC universe is taking note from fans who felt like it was being rushed along and is now focusing on solo films. Wonder Woman, Joker, Shazam!, and Aquaman, as well as Matt Reeves’ The Batman, will bring solo adventures back to the DC franchise, with the only team-based film currently revealed to be in development being Birds of Prey. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Wonder Woman 1984 and the DC Extended Universe as more information becomes available.
