‘Wonder Woman’ Merchandise Teases The Villainous Ares

The DC Extended Universe is set to showcase the most badass superhero of all time (while subjective, imagine denying Wonder Woman’s badassery). The Patty Jenkins-directed film, Wonder Woman, is set to open in theatres everywhere on June 2nd. Recently, we received our first look at the film’s main antagonist, Ares, the God of War, via some images of new toys. Warner Bros. and DC Comics have done an excellent job keeping the character — on-screen at least– very secretive. After the criticisms Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice received when they showed Doomsday in the trailer, I think WB have learnt their lesson.

We have a brand new image of Ares from the upcoming film, Wonder Woman. Before you get too excited, the image is promotional art via a Hot Wheels toy. You can make out the shape of Ares, but you cannot see his badass design. You can check out the image below:

So, what do you guys think? Are you excited to see Ares appear on-screen? Jenkins’ film has looked incredible so far, and as the anticipation – and marketing – builds, here’s hoping we get an awesome look at the antagonist quite soon. In my eyes, and this is just a personal thing, I do not consider villain reveals spoilers. It has never bothered me. Are you guys pumped for the upcoming Wonder Woman film?
