Their source says that Pine’s Steve Trevor is in fact resurrected by famed DC villain Maxwell Lord, who will be played in the film by Game of Thrones and The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal. Lord is looking for mystic artifacts that would give him the powers of a god; to further his quest, he has enlisted the help of archaeologist Barbara Ann Minerva (Kristen Wiig). After one of the artifacts they find curses, Minerva, to become Cheetah, she turns on Lord. Lord then hires Wonder Woman to take care of Cheetah, and in return, he will use the artifacts to bring Trevor back to life for her.
This could make for an interesting movie and could challenge Diana’s ethics about humanity, struggling to have Steve back in her life while simultaneously holding off Cheetah and withstanding the effects of the Cold War. We’ll keep you posted on more info when it’s available.
What do you think of this reveal? Are you glad to see Chris Pine back as Steve Trevor, or would you have rather had the sequel go in a different direction? Let us know in the comments!!
