Wonder Woman Confirmed To Appear In ‘Flashpoint’

Gal Gadot has been officially confirmed to be reprising her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming standalone Flash movie Flashpoint.

Deadline has confirmed Gal Gadot will indeed reprise her role as Wonder Woman in the upcoming standalone Flash movie Flashpoint.

Flashpoint starring Ezra Miller as The Flash is set to adapt the key DC comics story arc written by Geoff Johns. The story follows Barry Allen when he runs back in time to prevent the death of his mother, creating an alternate timeline where he never becomes the Scarlet Speedster and the DC Universe is forever changed.

In a new report regarding Gadot joining Bradley Cooper in the Max Landis scripted picture Deeper, the trade confirmed Gadot is locked in for Flashpoint. While the inclusion of the Amazonian Princess in the film comes as no great surprise as she was expected to appear considering the Amazonians are at war with the Atlanteans in the Flashpoint storyline, her role had yet to be confirmed for the solo Flash film following the Wonder Woman sequel in 2019.

Flashpoint is currently scheduled to release in 2020, however, the film remains without a director. For now, fans will be able to see Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Miller’s Flash when they appear together in the superhero team-up epic Justice League alongside Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Amber Heard as Mera, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, and Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf. Here’s the official synopsis:

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Justice League is set to hit theaters November 17th, 2017.
