‘Wonder Woman’ Producer Explains Why There Is No End-Credits Scene

'Wonder Woman' producer Charles Roven explains why there is no end-credits scene in the movie. Wonder Woman is out in theaters June 2.

Wonder Woman producer Charles Roven has confirmed that there will be no end-credits scene in the film. A lot of people have a tendency to compare the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the DC Extended Universe, and when it comes to involving several films which exist in the same universe, the MCU has had a string of end-credits scenes to unite their universe. That hasn’t been the case with the DCEU. Except for Suicide Squad, the remainder of their films have yet to have a post-credits scene. But there’s a reason why, according to Roven.

Speaking with CinemaBlend, Roven says that they didn’t want to force the end-credits scene.

“I’m not going to say we’d never do one. … There was one in Suicide Squad. But I don’t think that we want to feel that we’re forced to do something just because we didn’t in the past.”

And it’s true, they shouldn’t feel forced to do one just because so many other films in its genre have done it. At least fans will know in advance and they won’t have to wait around until the very end for a scene that won’t come.
