Two years later, Brie Larson became the first woman to play the lead role in a Marvel Studios’ film with Captain Marvel. The film also became a financial success, eventually crossing the $1 billion mark the worldwide
Now, Gal Gadot has taken to her official Instagram account to share of photo of herself with Brie Larson at the 2020 Academy Awards. Included with photo is a caption that reads, “Make love. Not War,” perhaps a nod to the fact that many fans perceived the Marvel and DC films to be rivals.

Brie Larson will reprise her role as Carol Danvers in Marvel Studios’ Captain Marvel sequel. Full details on the film are currently unknown, though the recently unveiled Phase 4 line-up did not include Captain Marvel 2, indicating the Brie Larson film is part of the Phase 5 slate.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Diana Prince in the highly-anticipated Wonder Woman 1984. Full details on the plot are being kept under wraps, but the film is said to follow Diana Prince as she comes into conflict with a formidable new adversary named Cheetah and businessman Maxwell Lord.
Wonder Woman 1984 will be released in theaters on June 4, 2020.
