‘Wonder Woman’ Star Gal Gadot Set To Host ‘Saturday Night Live’

NBC has announced Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot will host Saturday Night Live on October 7. Joining her will be musical guest Sam Smith.

NBC has announced Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot will host Saturday Night Live on October 7.

Gadot became an instant household name after her performance in the DCEU’s first female-led installment which shattered records at the domestic box office. The actress will make her first-ever appearance on the variety series one month before she returns to the silver screen as the Amazonian Princess in Justice League. Joining her will be musical guest Sam Smith.

In addition, the network has also announced that Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, Silicon Valley) will be hosting the series for his first-ever appearance on October 14. Musical guest Pink will join Nanjiani.

Saturday Night Live’s 43rd season premieres on September 30 with host Ryan Gosling and musical guest Jay-Z.

Wonder Woman stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Robin Wright as General Antiope, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Lisa Loven Kongsli as Menalippe, Danny Huston as General Erich Ludendorff, David Thewlis as Sir Patrick Morgan, Elena Anaya as Doctor Maru, Ewen Bremner as Charlie, Saïd Taghmaoui as Sameer and Eugene Brave Rock as the Chief. Here’s the official synopsis:

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

Wonder Woman is now available on digital platforms as well as Blu-ray and DVD.
