‘Wonder Woman’ Star Gal Gadot Shows Her Support For Zachary Levi’s ‘Shazam!’

Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is showing her support for Zachary Levi’s Shazam! movie.

Shazam! opens in theaters next week and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot is looking forward to Zachary Levi’s DC Extended Universe debut. Gal Gadot recently expressed her excitement for Shazam! in the comments of one of Zachary Levi’s Instagram posts, noting that she can’t wait to see it. Have a look below.

Disney star Asher Angel plays the young Billy Batson in the Shazam! movie, with Zachary Levi as the titular superhero. Grace Fulton, Cooper Andrews, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman and Djimon Hounsou are also on board, with Mark Strong as the villainous Doctor Sivana, a frequent foe of Shazam who first appeared opposite the superhero in the pages of Whiz Comics back in 1940.

Details on the plot of Shazam! are currently unknown. Most tellings of the comic book story depict Billy Batson as an orphan child who is granted the ability to become an adult hero with godlike powers by an ancient Wizard. The film was directed by David F. Sandberg from a script by Henry Gayden.

As for Gal Gadot, the actress is set to return as Wonder Woman in Wonder Woman 1984. Full details on the plot of Wonder Woman 1984 are being kept under wraps. The film will follow the titular hero as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union in the 1980s and encounters a formidable new adversary named Cheetah.

Directed by Patty Jenkins from a script she co-wrote with David Callaham and a treatment she developed with Geoff Johns, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wigg, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel, Gabriella Wilde, Connie Nielson and Robin Wright. Wonder Woman 1984 opens in theaters on June 4, 2020.
