‘Wonder Woman’ To Cross $600 Million Mark At The Global Box Office

Wonder Woman‘s box office success continues after 20 days of release, adding $3.845 million for a domestic total of $289.2 million. Now, Variety reports that with $312.4 million overseas, Wonder Woman has earned a total of $601.6 million at the worldwide box office. If the film manages to overtake Kung Fu Panda 2‘s global take of $665.7 million, the DCEU’s first female-led installment will have become the highest grossing female directed film of all time (sans a male co-director).

Wonder Woman is also on track to surpass Man of Steel‘s domestic gross, which came to a total of $291 million.

Should the film conclude it’s run with $365 million at the domestic box office, it would rank among the top ten highest grossing comic book films, placing behind Spider-Man 2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man 3, The Dark Knight Rises, Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Dark Knight, and Avengers.

Wonder Woman is currently the third highest-grossing film of 2017 at the domestic box office, placing behind only Beauty and the Beast‘s $503.5 million and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s $376.2 million.
