Brie Larson is making her debut as Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel this week and the director behind DC’s Wonder Woman is excited for the Marvel Studios flick.

A sequel to Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot is currently in post-production with Patty Jenkins back in the director’s chair. Meanwhile, Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is set to return in next month’s Avengers: Endgame after her big screen debut this week.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Clark Gregg and Jude Law. The film is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019.
