‘Wonder Woman’ Star Praises Legacy Of Kitty O’Neil In Heartwarming Post

Sadly, Kitty O’Neil recently passed away and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot had some inspiring words to say about the stunt woman’s legacy via social media.

Kitty O’Neil recently passed away at the age of 72 but she left behind an incredible body of work as a stunt woman. O’Neil worked on the original The Bionic Woman TV series, as well as films like The Blues Brothers and Airport ’77. Possibly the most notable of her television stunt work is none other than the Wonder Woman television series, starring Lynda Carter, which kicked off back in 1975 and thrived for 3 seasons before ending in 1979.

O’Neil became a legend in the industry and one of her incredible stunt work accomplishments was remembered in a recent social media post by the current big-screen Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot. The Justice League star took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the sad passing of O’Neil. Some fans who aren’t into the post-production process of these types of projects may not know O’Neil’s name but after Gadot’s heartwarming post, you’ll certainly want to read up on her work as soon as possible. Check out the post from Gadot below.

Some moviegoers or TV watchers may think of a stunt man or woman as just the person who gets lit on fire or the person who has to fake a punch, jump onto a mat, that kind of stuff. O’Neil is a great example of why fans should look more into the stunt performers behind some of their favorite properties because these stunt workers have accomplished some incredible feats over the years. Some moviegoers think of Tom Cruise as the stunt guy but it’s easy to forget that there are plenty of them in the industry doing dangerous work every single day.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding the DC universe as soon as more information becomes available. What are some of your favorite stunts throughout movie and television history? Which of Kitty O’Neill’s work are you familiar with? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
