‘Wonder Woman’ Visual Effects Video Breaks Down The Opening Prologue

A new making-of video deconstructs the opening prologue of 'Wonder Woman' and reveals how the scene was created using computer-generated effects.

Wonder Woman thrilled audiences right from the beginning with an epic sequence depicting the Amazonian history and the showdown between Ares and Zeus. Now, a new behind-the-scenes video offers fans an in-depth look at how the scene was created.

Posted on the official Platige Image Twitter account, the video deconstructs how paintings depicting the Amazonian history were brought to life using CGI models. At one minute and thirty-five seconds long, the video sheds light on the work that went into creating the key sequence.

Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers… and her true destiny.

Directed by Patty Jenkins, the film stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui.

Wonder Woman is now available on Digital HD, Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
