‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Star Opens Up About Character’s Death

While Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse was not the most warmly received superhero film of 2016, it did feature one moment that surprised a handful of fans. During Apocalypse’s visit the Charles Xavier’s school, the sinister villain killed Havoc, a character who had been part of the rebooted series since he first appeared X-Men: First Class with actor Lucas Till in the role. Now, Till has opened up to about his characters death in a conversation with CinemaBlend, where he shares a surprisingly enthusiastic response to his characters fate.

Till explained his feelings regarding his character’s death.

I thought it was really cool. I feel like people are always like ‘Oh, it’s X-Men. It’s X-Men you can always come back.’ But I was like ‘No, I think it’s cool that I died.’ I think people were kind of nervous to tell me that I died but I thought it was really neat.

Of course, fans know that when it comes to comic books and films based on them, death may not always be permanent. Lucas Till addressed this fact and the potential for his character to return.

But also it is X-Men and you don’t really see me die and if I can withstand cosmic energy coming from my chest I might be able to withstand some extreme levels of heat. Maybe that level fell just right so that maybe I survived, I don’t know. I thought it was cool though.
