Don’t Expect To See The X-Men With The Avengers Before 2021

According to The Hollywood Reporter, fans shouldn’t expect to see the X-Men and Fantastic Four join the Avengers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before 2021.

Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox’s entertainment assets is officially complete, which brings the X-Men and Fantastic under Marvel Studios’ umbrella, was officially completed today. However, The Hollywood Reporters notes it will take some time before the X-Men and other newly acquired Marvel heroes enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe on screen:

Unless Kevin Feige has a completed script waiting in his desk drawer, the newly arriving heroes from the Disney-Fox merger are unlikely to hit screens until at least 2021, if not later.

The additional roster of characters come just as Marvel Studios is set to conclude the first decade of MCU stories with Avengers: Endgame, which is expected to mark the final appearance of several long-time heroes.

A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo,  Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow, with Josh Brolin as Thanos.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
