The H Collective To Finance ‘xXx’ Sequel

The production-financing entity The H Collective is set to back a sequel to the recent xXx: Return of Xander Cage starring Vin Diesel.

Variety reports the production-financing entity The H Collective is set to back a sequel to xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

The privately owned company has signed a production deal with Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum who both produced the third installment and will return to produce the fourth film in the franchise.

Diesel has previously expressed interest in returning to star once again as Xander Cage, the thrill-seeking athlete turned government operative who emerged from a self-imposed exile in the recent xXx: Return of Xander Cage. The film which released in January only managed to take $44.8 million domestically but totaled $346 million worldwide including $164 million in China.

Part of the film’s success in China is thanks to Diesel himself, who is one of the industries biggest box office draws in the middle kingdom thanks to the success of The Fast and the Furious franchise. The addition of Chinese stars Donnie Yen and Kris Wu in key roles also played a major part in the film’s performance at the China box office.

There is no timeline for the development of the fourth xXx yet but The H Collective is planning on producing a total of four films over the next four years.

xXx: Return of Xander Cage is available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
