The famous voice of Yoda, Frank Oz, recently dodged a question about being in "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi." Could Yoda make an appearance?
Somewhat unexpectedly, in an interview with Variety, when asked about rumors of Yoda’s return in Episode VIII, Frank Oz responded with this:
“I feel like I’m a prisoner at war here, and I can only give you my name, rank and serial number. To be true to the people who asked me, and they are kind of my family, I have to say I’ve been asked not to talk about it. I love Yoda. I would be happy to talk to you about it at the time they let me.”
By not saying anything, Frank Oz actually said a lot. It’s very possible that Oz is simply doing more voice-over for a similar scene to the one from The Force Awakens. However, it is exciting to think about Yoda coming back as a force ghost in a few scenes. Perhaps Ewan McGregor can make that happen too! Either way, it is pretty cool that there is a possibility of Yoda coming back once more.
What role, if any, do you hope Yoda plays in The Last Jedi? Let us know in the comments. Episode VIII is still a relatively long ways off, but keep coming back to Heroic Hollywood for more information about the film.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi premiers December 15, 2017.
