Zachary Levi Reveals New Poster, Teases New Trailer For ‘Shazam!’

While the very first trailer for Shazam! revealed earlier this summer at San Diego Comic-Con definitely electrified fans and got them charged to see director David F. Sandberg’s take on Billy Batson, we haven’t seen much since then. But there’s a reason for that, as Sandberg has explained on social media various times that effects and post-production take a fair amount of work and he wants to present something new when it’s ready. In addition, the film has been undergoing additional photography that is expected to wrap in a few weeks.

However, with Comic-Con Brazil upon us, not only has there been a new Shazam! poster revealed there, but star Zachary Levi just today shared a photo on his Instagram page that revealed a new poster for the film. More than that, Levi teased that a new trailer will be coming in the new year, too. No word on when, though, but he reminded fans to mark their calendars for that precious April 5 release date. Here, have a look at the new Shazam! poster in the image below.

So with there now being a new Shazam! poster and additional photography wrapping up soon, what are your current hopes and expectations for the upcoming film. More than that, what do you hope to see in a new Shazam! trailer that you didn’t see in the first one? Would you want to see more action set pieces, or more focus on the story and Billy Batson’s life? Or maybe something else altogether? In addition, what do you think of the poster and overall tone and feel of the film thus far?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned for more Shazam! updates in the weeks to come.

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Asher Angel, Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans and Djimon Hounsou.

The film will hit theaters next year on April 5, 2019.
