Shazam! was a breakout hit for actor Zachary Levi. While the actor has had big TV roles, his film appearances have been somewhat limited, with his most notable role being Fandral in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok. However after his turn playing Shazam, Zachary Levi has solidified himself as a superhero.
While answering questions at MegaCon Orlando, Zachary Levi was asked who would win in a fight between Shazam and The Flash. Here’s what the Shazam! actor had to say on the matter
“Shazam, thank you for your question… Tell Grant Gustin I said hi, and Ezra! Tell all the Flashes!”
So it seems the new superhero in town is a bit cocky. As it stands, Shazam and The Flash haven’t appeared on the silver screen together yet but many fans are still hopeful that will hapen. We can expect to see Zachary Levi return as Shazam following the success of his film, with sequel currently being written by Henry Gayden.
However, the fate of the DCEU’s The Flash is still up in the air. The Flash movie starring Justice League actor Ezra Miller was supposed to originally be released in 2018 before Aquaman. However, due to production difficulties, The Flash has been pushed back repeatedly. The project currently has Spider-Man: Homecoming writers Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daily attached to direct, but it’s currently in libo with reports claiming that The Flash star Ezra Miller is unhappy with the script and the tone of the film.
The most recent update on The Flash came two months ago when it was revealed that Ezra Miller and comic book writer Grant Morrison have teamed up to pitch their own version of the movie to Warner Brothers. If the studio doesn’t like their script, Ezra Miller will likely leave the project and the role will be recast.

Here’s the official synopsis for Shazam!:
“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
Zachary Levi’s Shazam! is now playing in theaters.
