We all know that numerous DC Comics icons were cut from Zack Snyder’s Justice League and now the filmmaker has shared a new photo that puts the spotlight on one of them. Zack Snyder has been revealing some of these cut characters over the past few months and the list includes Martin Manhunter, Green Lantern, Darkseid and Ryan Choi, a.k.a. The Atom. Recently, Zack Snyder offered fans a fresh look at Orion Lee as Ryan Choi in his version of the Justice League movie.
Last year, Zack Snyder mentioned that his Justice League cut was set to introduce the Ryan Choi version of The Atom as a STAR Labs scientist. Zack Snyder shared the never-before-seen image of Ryan Choi on Vero, revealing that the character was the “director of nanotechnology at STAR Labs” in his Justice League cut. You can check out the image of Ryan Choi below.
Former Superman actor Brandon Routh has been playing the Ray Palmer version of The Atom on the small screen while Osric Chau recently made his debut as Ryan Choi in the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. However, Orion Lee’s future as the DC Extended Universe’s Ryan Choi is currently uncertain.
Do you think the same version of The Atom will appear in a future DC Extended Universe movie? Or would you rather see Ray Palmer instead of Ryan Choi? Let us know in the comments!
Here is the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.
