Is This How Zack Snyder Was Planning To Kill Off Batman?

If there’s one thing you can say about Zack Snyder’s films, particular his work with DC properties, it’s that there’s always a lot to unpack. And that applies to his posts on Vero about them as well. Nowhere is that more evident than the recent shirt design that he shared, and there’s a lot to unpack not just about his original DC Extended Universe vision, but also how Batman might have died in a potential Justice League sequel.

Based on the symbols, fans have taken to Vero to theorize just how Batman would have died in Zack Snyder’s original second Justice League film. One of the more prominent theories revolves around Batman sacrificing his life to save Lois during an attack by Darkseid. Following this, Lois, who would be pregnant at the time, would give birth to a son whom she and Clark would name, as you’d guess, “Bruce” in honor of the fallen Justice League member. Here, have a look at Snyder responding to the theory in the post below.

Since the shirt design was unveiled late last week, fans have already taken to social media to post their theories in regards to Zack Snyder’s original vision, including the planned Justice League sequel, but also what it would mean for other characters, such as Batman, and what role they would play in this arc. Since this did not come to pass, it remains to be seen what will become of this vision, since many hold out hope to at least see Zack Snyder’s original cut of Justice League.

But what have you made of the design so far? What do you think about this particular theory in regards to Batman’s death in a Justice League sequel? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below.

Justice League is available now on Digital HD, 4K, Blu-Ray, and DVD.
