Zack Snyder Reveals The Reason Superman Didn’t Use Powers To Find Martha

Zack Snyder has explained why the Man of Steel didn’t use his powers to find Martha in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Before the showdown between the Man of Steel and Caped Crusader, Lex Luthor kidnapped Martha Kent in order to coerce Superman into fighting Batman. While some have wondered why Superman, who is faster than a speeding bullet, couldn’t have used have his abilities to locate Martha, Zack Snyder revealed that there was a scene in which Superman attempted to use his super hearing to find his mother. However, upon hearing the cries for help throughout the world, Superman realizes that trying to find Martha this way means he will have to ignore those pleas.

The director also shed light on Wonder Woman’s fate in the Knightmare timeline, confirming that she is “not around” at that point.

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars, Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
