‘Justice League’ Director Zack Snyder Confirms The Snyder Cut Exists In New Video

Justice League director Zack Snyder has confirmed the Snyder cut does indeed exist in a new video captured at his fan event this past weekend.

Over the weekend, Zack Snyder drew controversy when dismissed fans who had issues with Ben Affleck’s Batman breaking his no-kill rule during a Q&A session with fans at a screening of Batman v Superman. He also revealed new details regarding his original plans for 2017’s Justice League. Zack Snyder stepped down from directing Justice League after his daughter died by suicide, turning over directorial duties to Joss Whedon.

The former Avengers director was said to be directing additional photography as well as overseeing the post-production process in an effort to maintain Zack Snyder’s original vision. However, what was seen in the film’s marketing differed vastly from what released in theaters. The outcome resulted in what some insiders described as a Frankenstein between the two directors and the so-called “Snyder Cut” remains to be seen to this day. But fans have not lost hope yet.

Earlier this week, a fan claimed to have gotten confirmation from Zack Snyder himself that the Snyder cut of Justice League does indeed exist. New video evidence reveals this was, in fact, the case. In the video below, Zack Snyder can be seen explaining the situation, confirming the Snyder cut of Justice League was finished.

“I mean all I can tell you is that, sure there’s a cut, it’s done. They have a cut. They have a bunch of them…so, it’s not like…it’s up to them.”

Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash, Ray Fisher as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ciaran Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Amber Heard as Mera, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD. The DCEU continues with next with Shazam! on April 5, 2019, Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
