‘Justice League’ Video Shows Steppenwolf Replaced With Zack Snyder’s Darkseid

A fan has created a short clip in which Darkseid replaces Steppenwolf in a key scene from Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League.

Last week, Zack Snyder revealed a photo of what was supposed to be Darkseid in his cut of Justice League before the project was extensively retooled following his departure. Unfortunately for fans who were excited to see Darkseid make his live-action feature film debut, the classic DC Comics villain was removed from the theatrical cut of the film with the focus remaining solely on his underling, Steppenwolf.

However, a short GIF has been created that finds Darkseid replacing Steppenwolf using the photo Zack Snyder shared last week. Through a combination of both the aforementioned image and footage from Justice League, the clip offers fans a look at what the key flashback scene would have looked like with Darkseid instead of Steppenwolf, as Zack Snyder originally envisioned.

Check out the post below to see what the Justice League flashback scene would have looked like with Darkseid instead Steppenwolf.

Here is the official synopsis for Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, Justice League stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Justice League is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital HD.
