Zack Snyder Teases Dick Grayson’s Death Will Be Explored In His ‘Justice League’ Cut

The director has teased his version of Justice League will shed more light on the character's death in the DCEU.

Zack Snyder recently teased that the death of the Dick Grayson version of Robin will be explored in his upcoming Justice League cut.

While 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice revealed a former Robin had been murdered at the hands of the Joker, it has never been quite clear which version of the character the suit belonged to. Many fans believed the suit seen in the film belonged to Jason Todd, with Snyder taking inspiration from the “A Death in the Family” and “Under the Red Hood” story arcs. However, the Batman v Superman and Justice League director has since suggested that the suit did not actually belong to Jason Todd before confirming it was actually the costume worn by Dick Grayson.

But it seems fans may finally be clued in to more details regarding the fate of Dick Grayson in the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League. When asked by a fan whether or not Snyder had plans to explore the death of Dick Grayson in his original 5-film arc, Snyder revealed on Vero this would be hinted at in his version of Justice League.

Snyder’s cut of Justice League will be coming to WarnerMedia’s brand new streaming service sometime next year. Warner Bros. will be reassembling the original cast and post-production crew in order to record new additional dialogue, as well as finish the film’s visual effects and score to bring the director’s original vision for the DCEU’s team-up flick to fruition, however, it remains unclear as to whether or not the studio will release the film as one long four-hour cut, or if it will be divided up into six episodes for the new streamer.

Here’s the official synopsis for Zack Snyder’s Justice League:

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Jeremy Irons, Diane Lane, Connie Nielsen, J. K. Simmons, and Ciarán Hinds.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be released on HBO Max in 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the DC Extended Universe and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
