Zack Snyder Didn’t Want To Cast A Small Batman

We’re only a few weeks away from the release of Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which means that fans are literally counting down the days until it hits theaters. There are a number of things to get excited about in the movie, but it’s mainly Ben Affleck’s Batman that everyone’s been eagerly awaiting to see.

In a recent interview with Bloomerg, Snyder offered praise for Affleck’s performance as the Caped Crusader and briefly talked about why he wanted to cast such a tall actor in the role. Here’s what he had to say:

Not to be drinking my own Kool-Aid, but I think Ben is a pretty good Batman. I never liked a small Batman. Ben’s all of 6-foot-4, and in the boots, he’s like 6-foot-6.

The site also offers up the following description of Affleck’s Bruce Wayne, which is how the director envisioned the character:

A stylish guy in his 40s who lives in a Mies van der Rohe house, has a Mapplethorpe in his bedroom, and drives a green 1957 Aston Martin. It’s the director’s own car.

What do you guys think? Are you excited to see Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in just a few weeks? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section below.
