The director and his wife Deborah have made the difficult choice to step away from the remainder of their post-production responsibilities on the upcoming DC Extended Universe team-up film Justice League to be with their family as they grieve over the loss of their daughter Autumn, who died by suicide two months ago.
Following the revelation of this tragedy to the public yesterday, industry professionals and fans took to social media to send their love and support to the Man of Steel and Batman v Superman director with countless messages, heartfelt artwork depicting the director as a superhero himself, and the “We are with you Zack Snyder” poster that has now gone viral.
