Fans spotted a surprising reference to the Legend of Zelda franchise in the background of a scene in Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok featuring one of the most iconic symbols from the game. Most films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe hide references to other characters, comic book runs or even clues for future movies – but Taika Waititi seemingly slipped a Legend of Zelda reference onto an object in Hulk’s apartment on Sakaar.
The Legend of Zelda reference in Thor: Ragnarok surfaced on Reddit, with many fans quickly discussing the reference across social media. The scene shows a pot in the background with the Triforce symbol painted on it. And while some fans noted that there’s an extra triangle in the design, it’s likely this was just to avoid any copyright issues.
