Zendaya Lands A Lead Role In Cast Of Marvel & Sony’s ‘Spider-Man’ Reboot

It looks like Sony and Marvel Studios are finally putting together the cast for their upcoming Spider-Man reboot. It is being reported by Deadline that actress/singer Zendaya has landed a lead role in the film which will be directed by Jon Watts. While there are currently no details regarding her role, the character’s name is said to be Michelle.

She very well could be an incarnation of Michele Gonzales from the comics who is the sister of Vin Gonzales and at one point was Peter Parker’s roommate and a potential love interest. We’ll have to wait and see on this one. Zendaya will join Tom Holland and Marissa Tomei in the upcoming film which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 7, 2017. Sound off with your thoughts on this casting in the comments section below.
