In a recent report from Variety, Catwoman actress Zoe Kravitz revealed that she isn’t sure when she’ll begin working on Matt Reeves’ The Batman with the current global situation. The star spoke to Variety for a piece looking at how studios will have to change their production strategies to cope with social distancing alongside delays. Kravitz explained that she’s still hoping for the call to resume work on The Batman, but that they “have no idea”.
“hoping to wake up every day to an email or a phone call saying, ‘We’re ready to go.’ “I’m in touch with everybody, & everyone’s ready to go when it’s safe. But no, we have no idea”
With so many cast and crew present when working on set, there’s immediate issues with social distancing and physical contact. Kravitz highlighted the issue when speaking to Variety, explaining that she was touched more on Matt Reeves’ set because she needed help getting into the catsuit as well as all the stunt work. It’ll be interesting to see how the industry adapts to to the situation going forward. Take a look at the star discussing working on the set below.
“You have people just touching your face, touching your body all day long. I need help getting into the catsuit. I can’t do it on my own. I was probably touched more than any job, just because of the clothes and the combat and all of that.”
Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.
The Batman is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2021. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news regarding Zoe Kravitz, Matt Reeves, and The Batman, and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
