In the main recap I kind of poo-pooed the episode’s big Inhuman throw down, and I still maintain that it’s a bummer how Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is so sloppily constructed that they can’t properly set up a big moment like this one. That being said, the fight itself is fun. On the one hand, it seems kind of insane that Coulson and co. would send such a dangerous Inhuman in where he could potentially be turned into a servant of their enemy, but when Lash flash fries the parasites Hive sends at him, it’s a cool enough moment that you kind of forgive the general stupidity of the plan. It’s just a shame that this was a one-and-done kind of deal. They’ve kept Lash in a cage all season, then release him only for him to be killed off in a matter of minutes. It feels a little bit like cleaning house.
