A Matter Of Faith

One of the elements brought up early in this half season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. then immediately dropped was a discussion of faith. The question of faith was a major theme all the way back in ‘Bouncing Back‘, but until now it hasn’t really come up since. Here, though, Mack and Elena get to continue their discussion, with the events of the episode reaffirming Mack’s faith as Elena gives him her cross necklace as a gift. Bad news for Mack, we’ve seen this cross necklace a few times now in the Quinjet-in-space premonition, and it doesn’t seem like things go well for whoever is wearing it.

That said, I bet this is a misdirect, because I can’t imagine Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will kill off the last black guy in the regular cast.
