Mere days ahead of its North American release, concept art for Warner Bros. and DC’s live-action Aquaman movie has been making a splash on the internet.
A more recent gem, as tweeted out by The Aquaman Shrine, comes straight from Mike Avila’s upcoming book The Art and Making of Aquaman. It features a behind-the-scenes look at one of the more iconic shots used in the film’s advertising. The King of Atlantis himself (as portrayed by Jason Momoa in the upcoming film) strikes a confident pose at the foot of a roaring waterfall, trident in hand and sporting the iconic orange and green look. It is a striking image and one that highlights just how much work can go into bringing a simple shot from the page to the screen.
