Aquaman‘s own Black Manta actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is getting demands from fans to include Aqualad in a potential Aquaman sequel. After thanking fans for the appreciation he’s been getting for the film and commenting on some tweets asking for young Kaldur’ahm on a potential Aquaman sequel, Abdul-Mateen received this tweet in response which showed how serious are fans about this request:
IF YOU DONT PASS THAT KNIFE ON IN A SEQUEL @YAHYA 😤😤😤 https://t.co/0SfwXHrc1Y

Which he promptly replied impressed by what he seems to think its a premature request:

Aqualad, or Kaldur’ahm, is seen most prominently in the Young Justice animated series in which he’s one of Aquaman’s sidekicks but later is revealed he’s actually the son of Black Manta, played by Abdul-Mateen in the movie and one of Aquaman’s most formidable foes. The appearance of Aqualad in a potential sequel would definitely be interesting while we may see the character struggle between his alliance with Aquaman and Black Manta being his father.
