Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame has finally debuted in North American theaters and the palpable anticipation for the film has translated into record-breaking box office success. As of midday Friday, Avengers: Endgame has earned $140 million to $150 million at the domestic box office, besting the first-day and single-day $119.1 million record previously set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo,  Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019.
